Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan/AJ&K.

• Enrollment Eligibility: Final-year students and result-awaiting candidates can apply.

• Undergraduate/OTM Programs: HSSC/Intermediate must be completed by August 01, 2025; failure to upload the final degree/transcript will cancel the candidature.

• Master’s Programs: A 16-year Bachelor’s degree is required by August 01, 2025.

• PhD Programs: Master’s/MS/MPhil degree must be completed by August 01, 2025.

• Application Forms: Both Hungary and HEC forms must be fully completed.

• Document Attestation: Attestation from IBCC/HEC required post-nomination; O/A level equivalence mandatory for Bachelor’s/OTM.

• Language Proficiency: IELTS/TOEFL or English proficiency certificate may be required.

• Medical Certificate: Submit a health certificate (issued after November 01, 2024) proving the absence of major illnesses.

• Bond Agreement: Scholarship recipients must return to Pakistan to serve or face penalties.

• Testing Requirement: Minimum 50% in HAT/USAT (validity: HAT – 2 years, USAT – 1 year).

• Deadline Compliance: Applications without valid HAT/USAT scores won’t be considered.

Apply Procedure

• Mandatory Online Applications: Submit applications on both the Hungarian and HEC websites; failure to do so disqualifies the applicant.

• Initial Stage: Hard copies are not required initially but keep printed records of both submitted applications.

• Later Stage: Submit hard copies of online forms (HEC & Hungarian), attested documents, and original medical, and police clearance certificates when requested.

• Hungarian Application: Apply online through Tempus Public Foundation at stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply.

• Application Guide: Refer to the 2025-26 Application Guide for detailed instructions.

• Records: Maintain printed copies of online submissions for personal records.

Step (2) HEC Online Application

• HEC Application: Apply online at scholarship.hec.gov.pk under the “Hungarian Scholarship Program” section. Ensure all fields are completed accurately before submission, as the form cannot be edited later.

• Deadline: Submit the HEC application by January 15, 2025 (1600 PST).

• Profile Update: Update your HEC profile with the latest email, phone number, and information before applying.

• Print and Sign: After submitting the HEC application, print and sign a copy for your records.

• Dual Submission: Submitting applications on both stipendiumhungaricum.hu and the HEC portals is mandatory; failure to do so will result in disqualification.

• Document Submission: Upload all required documents to the Hungarian portal by January 15, 2025 (1600 hours).
  • Statement of Supervisor (if required): Deadline is March 15, 2025.
  • Medical Certificate: Nominated applicants must submit it by April 15, 2025.

• Document Size Limit: Uploaded files must not exceed 4 MB.

• Result Awaiting Candidates: Final degrees and transcripts must be uploaded to the Hungarian portal by August 01, 2025, or the application will be canceled.
